THE GRAND
OPENING
2.24.2024
The Grove and its team have been in development for nearly 7 years. With so many unseen hours going into this project, it could no longer hide and remain private. We are excited and very well prepped to bring you, San Jose's Premier Basketball Training Facility. We build players from fundamentalists to an elite level of gameplay, as well as on through our Collegiate and Professional programs.
Our grand opening was one of the best events we've ever had. After years in the works, we were finally ready to show the community what we've built. Hundreds of community members, friends, and family showed up to show their love and support, and we couldn't think of better people to share this moment with. This only marks the beginning of The Grove.
THE COOKOUT
8.3.2025
Over the summer, we had the privilege of hosting our very own cookout at the facility. After all the hard work our team, students, and families continue to put in, spending quality time together outside of the game was truly needed and appreciated.
One of our goals was to raise awareness for our local nonprofit partners, and it was incredible to see our community show up in such a big way. We were blessed to have over 15 sponsors and vendors join us, each brining their own unique energy-- from food and clothing to desserts and games.
The day was filled with great food, live music, custom shirts, jumpers, and fun competitions like knockout and three-point contests. Our families were able to enjoy every part of the experience and all the enrichment the day had to offer.
We don't always get the chance to fully express our gratitude to the community and families that support us at The Grove & Showtime Basketball Academy, but this event gave us a beautiful opportunity to do just that. Seeing our loved ones come together, share a meal, and enjoy each other's company was truly special. Bringing our community together like this is something we don't take for granted, and we're already looking forward to doing it again. A big thank you to all of our families, sponsors, vendors, and everyone who was able to make this possible.

We had the true honor of opening our doors for something special: The Bay's premier 1v1 basketball event showcasing raw talent, culture, and energy led by Ryan Parilla!
Watching hoopers travel in from different cities and members of the community all stepping onto the floor with nothing but love for the game was powerful.

SLAM JOSE!
We are beyond grateful to be apart of something special at Slam Jose, powered by Hoop It Up. A nostalgic event for many of us, finally making its way to the Bay Area and bringing the city to life.
Seeing the courts filled, the teams battling, and the community showing up with the unmatched energy was truly something special. The grit, hunger, and competitiveness on display in the heart of San Jose reminded us why we love this game.
Having our players represent the brand and go to war on the court was an honor. Even more meaningful was reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and staying rooted in the community through basketball.
DRE GREENLAW Q&A
12.17.2024
We had the privilege of welcoming Dre Greenlaw of the San Francisco 49ers to our facility. Dre shared his journey to the NFL and his upbringing, offering insight into his life full of both trials and triumphs. His story brought a human element that resonated with us all, showing how he overcame obstacles that might have prevented others from reaching their goals. It is always an incredible opportunity to have successful individuals return and give back to the community where their journey began, just as kids themselves.

THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE
5.12.2024
At The Grove, we have a large network of coaches and trainers whom we support and consider family. Unfortunately, we lost an incredible coach and mentor to the youth far too soon. Eric Cordova was a pillar of support for many athletes in our city. We had the privilege of hosting his family and loved ones to honor his life in the place he loved most: the basketball court. With nearly 200 people in attendance, we held a ceremonial speech and performance, established a scholarship in Eric's name, and organized 5-on-5 basketball games in his honor. We support and love everyone in our community, and though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the opportunity to honor our fallen friend.
